Puppet Shows

The Kidstale puppet show runs approximately 15 minutes only and is usually integrated with other presentations.  There are two types:  Filipino and American Musical Variety Shows.

A.    Filipino Cultural Show

The Filipino cultural show is composed of short musical numbers (Southern Philippine and folk music) with historical narration:  
  • a parade of first people who came to the Philippines (Aborigines, Indonesians, Chinese, Spanish, Americans) represented in hand puppets and marionettes
  • Butterfly dance (court dance represented by butterfly kites used as puppets)
  • Dragon dance (battle of the superpowers - Spanish and Americans represented by dragon kites used as puppets)
  • Dance showcasing different goods from the Manila Galleon trade era where Philippines and Mexico crossed paths.
