Tales from the Philippines is a 45-minute children's video in English featuring three stories: First Monkeys, Juan Tamad and Maria Makiling. This was produced by Alsa Balutan America Productions (now known as Kidstale) in 1997. The video is available in VHS only, NOT on DVD (NTSC and PAL formats).
The audio cassette version (see photo) is no longer available.
The First Monkeys - a story of a greedy king and queen who are turned into monkeys; Juan Tamad - a comic tale about a lazy boy who always gets in trouble and Maria Makiling - a love story of a goddess who falls in love with a common man. Another feature is a conversation between a Filipino American girl and her mother about the different costumes in the Philippines.
Video is $5.00 plus $4.00 shipping/handling (s/h).
